National Union of Students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences – SAMOK’s President of the Board for 2024 has been elected. Lauri Kujala from the Students’ Union of Jyväskylä University of Applied Sciences Jamko was elected president of the union. Kujala is a nursing student and chaired the board of the student union Jamko this year.
“I am overwhelmed and truly grateful for the trust given to me by the General Assembly. I am looking forward to the coming year and the work to develop and make more visible the UAS education”, says newly elected 2024 President Lauri Kujala.
Sanni Koivuluoma (The Student Union of Laurea University of Applied Sciences) was elected as vice-president of the board. In addition, the General Assembly, which met for two days in Rovaniemi, elected three board members. Linda Vallenius ( Tamko), Asta Nieminen (Jamko) and Janina Brunfeldt (Helga) were elected to board members.
During Thursday and Friday, the General Assembly accepted e.g, the action plan and budget for next year and SAMOK’s policy paper for internships. The new board will start its work in January 2024 at SAMOK’s office in Helsinki.
