The Union of Students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences – SAMOK wants to highlight UAS students’ activity and good deeds. We are collecting nominations for SAMOK’s Student Act of the Year Award!

Do you know a student or a group of students who has acted selflessly for the benefit of others during the past year? Tell us about an act that demonstrates students’ activity in their own community, at their university of applied sciences, or in society more broadly. Highlight a student who does good deeds for others in everyday life.

The act can be anything you consider worthy of recognition. The only criterion is that the actor must be a UAS student or a group of UAS students (for example a group, student association or student union), and the act must be a single event or initiative, not part of ongoing activities. Submit your nomination and describe the act using the form by 30 September.

The recipient of the Student Act of the Year Award will be chosen by a jury convened by SAMOK, and the winner will be announced at SAMOK’s General Assembly on 30–31 October 2025 in Seinäjoki.
