SAMOK adjust its activities. The adjustments will affect the entire organisation and its staff.

The adjustments are based on changes in the operating environment and economic reasons. Their aim is to ensure the future viability of the Union.

“Cost increases, combined with lower than expected project funding and cooperation income, have led to the need for adjustments. We will try to implement the adjustment measures in such a way that they have as little negative impact as possible on the Union’s core work”, says Vellu Taskila, the Union’s Executive Director.

SAMOK’s Executive Committee will take decisions on the adjustment measures after consulting the staff at its meeting on 6 September. SAMOK hopes for peace of mind and understanding from both the shop stewards and the staff.
