The Representative Council of the Student Union KOE at LAB University of Applied Sciences has decided to withdraw from the National Union of Students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences SAMOK at its meeting on 26 June 2025. This means that KOE’s membership will end at the end of this year.

According to the Representative Council, the decision is based on KOE’s financial situation. 

SAMOK regrets this decision. We thank KOE for the cooperation over the past years and warmly welcome them back to the community of UAS students at any time.

SAMOK will continue to advocate for university-of-applied-sciences students as before. The quality of higher education, students’ livelihood and well-being, and support for student unions will remain our top priorities. 

The UAS student movement will remain strong.
