Project presentation

The Global Education Knowledge for UAS Students project responds to two key challenges: young adults’ declining participation in democratic processes, and UAS students’ lower awareness of sustainable development and global challenges compared to university students.

The aims of the Global Education Knowledge for UAS Students project are to:

  • Strengthen UAS students’ critical understanding of global themes (e.g. climate justice, equality, democracy).
  • Increase students’ agency and belief in their own ability to make an impact.
  • Bring global education practices and materials to the UAS sector.

As part of the project, trainings and workshops are organised both in person and remotely. A communications campaign will reach a wider group of UAS students. In addition, the project materials will remain available to student unions, which ensures that the results are sustainable and widely usable even after the project has ended.

The project is carried out in cooperation with student unions, and voices from the Global South are heard through the partner organisation Global Student Forum. The project will run until the end of November 2026.
