Student unions
SAMOK consists of 21 student unions
While an individual student union focuses on local activities, SAMOK focuses on national ones. The student card is one of the most visible services a student union offers to students at its own university of applied sciences.
Student unions
- are public-law associations that safeguard students’ interests and organise various leisure activities for students
- carry out advocacy work both within the university of applied sciences and in the surrounding society
- represent students and influence matters important to students both on the boards of universities of applied sciences and in other internal bodies
- also influence decision-makers in municipalities and regions as a significant local advocacy organisation.
