Bulletin: SAMOK’s Executive Board for 2027 elected – Atte Mannila from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences as President

The National Union of Students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences – SAMOK’s Executive Board for 2027 has been elected. Atte Mannila from Satakunta University of Applied Sciences was elected President of the Union. He is studying to become an engineer in production engineering and industrial management in Pori, and has served this year as Chairperson of the Board of Student Union SAMMAKKO.

The parliamentary elections offer an opportunity to influence what kind of Finland we build and what role students will play in it. This work requires cooperation between student unions, SAMOK, and stakeholders. I look forward with enthusiasm to the coming year and to what we can achieve together for the future of students!” rejoices newly elected President for 2027, Atte Mannila.

Eino Mervola (Metropolia University of Applied Sciences) was elected Vice President. In addition, the General Assembly, which convened for two days in Helsinki, elected three board members to the Board. Ruvindu Gamage (Tampere University of Applied Sciences), Jimi Oosi (Vaasa University of Applied Sciences), and Kiira Uutela (Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences) were elected to the Board.

During Thursday and Friday, the General Assembly has also approved, among other things, the plan of action and budget for next year. The new Board will begin its work in January 2027 at the SAMOK office in Helsinki.
