The National Union of Students in Finnish Universities of Applied Sciences – SAMOK wants to highlight the activity and good deeds of UAS students. Throughout September, we are collecting proposals for the recipient of SAMOK’s Student Act of the Year award!
Do you know a student or a group of students who has done good for others during this year? Nominate an act that showcases this student’s activity and goodwill in their own community, at the higher education institution, or in society more broadly. Highlight a good act that you feel deserves recognition.
The act can be anything you consider worthy of a reward. The only criterion is that the actor must be a UAS student or a group of UAS students (e.g., a tutor group, student organization, student union) and the act must be an individual situation or event, not part of continuous operations. Nominate the act and describe it on the form by September 30, 2026.
The winner of the Student Act of the Year award will be selected by a jury appointed by SAMOK, and the winner will be announced at SAMOK’s General Assembly on October 29–30, 2026, in Helsinki.
