Equality bubbles – steps towards more equal education
Finland cherishes the idea of education to which everyone has equal access. However, equality in education is neither developed nor monitored systematically, and some groups in our country find education difficult to access. At the same time, the Ministry of Education and Culture has set a goal of increasing the proportion of higher education graduates to 50 per cent of each age cohort. To achieve this goal, we must ensure that everyone can pursue education as far as they wish, regardless of their background. We have therefore drawn up steps towards equal education, which we will present at the student house in Pori during SuomiAreena week.
The event will also feature a panel discussion on equality in education. We will introduce the panellists on Facebook. The event is open to everyone interested in the topic, and no separate registration is required.
